Cork City Partnership can assist you if you are considering ‘Self Employment’ or going into Business as a Sole Trader or Limited Company. We can advise you on your business idea and on the various ‘Back to Work’ schemes which may suit your project.  

 

We’re here to help you through the process, just give us a call....

 

We offer Enterprise support and training to ‘Start Ups’ and Self -Employed individuals. Advice and guidance is available for:

 

Short Term Enterprise Allowance (STEA)

 

If you are receiving ‘Jobseekers Benefit’ and have a viable business idea or self employment project, you can apply for STEA.   

 

Back to Work Enterprise Allowance (BTWEA)

 

If you are receiving ‘Jobseekers Allowance’ you can apply for BTWEA. We can help you with your business plan, tax registration and BTWEA application.   

 

Temporary self-employed (Jobseekers UA). It may suit you better to apply for Jobseeker UA depending on your situation; again we can help you through this process.

 

Complete a Business Plan, and registering a business name with the CRO. We can help and guide you in this area. We also provide assistance with Income Tax & VAT registration.

 

One to One support for your business. Mentoring and advice to individual businesses and self employed people is available.

Grants and funding advise for your ‘start up’ business all part of the service we can provide to you. Just give us a call.

 

Business development training  we run a number of event through the year aimed specifically at Self Employed people and ‘Start Up’ businesses.

Upcoming Events

1)  Enterprise Information Session. 

We provide information for people interested in Self Employment and ‘Back to Work’ schemes usually on  Wednesdays. These group information sessions are held in our offices in Heron House, Blackpool, Cork. Places are limited and it is advisable to book in advance by calling 021- 430 2310.

 

Information and guidance on the following topics provided:

 

A)   Starting a Business.

B)   Self Employment options and supports (STEA & BTWEA)

C)  Business plan workbook.

D)  Network Support & Mentoring.

E)   Grants and funding for micro business.

     F)   Completing the BTWEA application.

 

 

2)  ‘First Look at Business’ course. 

This short intense course is aimed at people who have started a business recently or are about to go into Self Employment. The course is run mid week usually Tues, Wed, & Thurs –in conjunction with the City Enterprise Board. The next course will take place in shortly  and more are scheduled for later in the year.

B)   Marketing research & Market connection

    C)  Money – Cash flow projections, Revenue & Tax.

 

 3) Enterprise Network & Mentoring.  

Cork City Partnership Ltd supports new enterprises in the early stage of business start up through sharing experiences, mentoring and the exchange of idea & knowledge. Working closely with local business owners and organisations, we act as a facilitator for our Enterprise Network and Mentoring group.
