Welcome to Cork City Partnership

Public Consultation - We would like to hear from you :   We are currently developing a 3 year plan for our Local and Community Development Programme...........

The Partnership aims to:


Counter disadvantage, promote equality and foster social inclusion and economic inclusion, through supporting communities that work collectively to meet local needs and who are committed to maximising the potential of their areas.
It's services are delivered through three measures:

Services for the Unemployed
  • Career guidance, information and practical job search support for job seekers.
  • Personalised mentoring support for those interested in self employment.
  • Assistance with obtaining training for employment.

Community Development
  • Encourage the participation, empowerment and collective decision making of the community sector
  • Resource targeted, innovative responses to needs of communities that experience extreme forms of social exclusion.

Education
  • Work with education providers to develop responses to specific issues such as under achievement in education.
  • Support the inclusion of Traveller children / students in education.
  • Promote the participation of adults in education particularly in the area of Community-based education.
  • Support the rehabilitation of ex-offenders.
  • Provide financial assistance for further and higher education students who are experiencing financial difficulties whilst attending college.
